After reading or listening to a book, the child or parent then logs information about the book (such as book title, date read, award classification, etc) into MyReadingLog. This infomation is permanently stored in the MyReadingLog database. You can use the search and sort tools to locate books that were previously entered into the database.

The software safely installs on a computer in your home. Therefore, no internet connection is necessary during installation. Internet connection is optional during usage.

MyReadingLog can also create a pre-formatted reading sheet which may be printed and submitted to some reading award programs, such as Reading Across Broward. Readers should contact their school's media specialist to confirm what reading sheet formats are acceptable. Other pre-formatted reading sheets will be added in the future.

Windows® XP is required to run MyReadingLog (support for Vista and Windows 2000 will be added soon). MyReadingLog also requires either the retail version of Microsoft Access® 2007 or the free runtime version. Depending on how you acquired MyReadingLog, the free runtime version may be included in the installation package. If you do not have the full retail version of Microsoft Access 2007, you may download it directly from Microsoft Corporation.
